- Lalbagh Fort: The fort of Aurangabad, popularly known as the Lalbagh Fort located in old Dhaka area, was built in 1678 AD.
- Ahsan Manjil: Built in 1872 and standing on the river Buriganga, this stately building offers the visitors a feeling of the life-style of the early Nawabs of Dhaka.
- Hussaini Dalan: It is one of the oldest structures and attractions in old Dhaka area. The history of 'Hussaini / Hussni Dalan' is 400 years old. The building is located on Nazim Uddin Road in old Dhaka.
- Baldha Garden: Baldha Garden is established in 1904 in Wari, old Dhaka. This garden has a rich collection of indigenous and exotic plants.
- Star Mosque: A very beautiful mosque, situated at Mahuttuly on Abul Khairat Road, old Dhaka, also known as Tara Masjid.
- Baitul Mukarram Mosque: This is one of the biggest and beautiful mosques in the country, situated at Gulistan, Purana Paltan.
- Central Shahid Minar: Symbol of Bengali nationalism. This monument was built to honor the martyrs of the historic Language movement of 1952.
- Dhakeshwari Temple: Oldest hindu temple in the city (11th Century). The Dhakeshwari Temple situated near Azimpur.
- Bangladesh national Museum: The national museum of Bangladesh is situated in Shahbag which is the central point of the city.
- Bangabandhu memorial Museum: Bangabandhu memorial museum is situated at road no. 32 Dhanmondi. The residence of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been turn into a museum.
- Mukti juddha Museum: Museum on our Liberation war situated at Segun Bagicha contains rare photographs of 1971 war and items used by the freedom fighters during the period.
- Science Museum: Located in Agargaon which is a modern learning center related to the latest science discoveries.
- Shadhinota Stambha: It is the place where the father of the nation Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his historical speech on 7th march 1971.
- National Poet's Graveyard: Graveyard of the revolutionary poet Kazi Nazrul Islam who died on the 29 August 1976. The graveyard is adjacent to the Dhaka University Mosque.
- Ramna Park: A vast stretch of green garden surrounded by a serpentine lake near the Intercontinental (Sheraton / Rupashi Bangla) Hotel.
- Suhrawardy Uddyan (Garden): The oath of independence of Bangladesh was taken here and Bangabandhu Sheik Mujibur Rahman gave clarion call for independence on this occasion on the 7th March 1971. It’s a popular and beautiful Park.
- Parliament House: Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (Parliament House) which is located at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. It was designed by the famous architect Louis I. Kahn which is one of the master pieces.
- Curzon Hall: A Beautiful architectural building named after Lord Curzon which is now the Science Faculty of Dhaka University.
- Old High Court Building: It was built as the residence for the British Governor. It illustrates a happy blend of European and Mughal architecture.
- Bangladesh National Zoo & Botanical Garden: National Zoo & Botanical Garden are located in Mirpur area which is 20 km from the center of Dhaka city.

- Sonargaon: The oldest capital of Bengal which is located beside Dhaka-Chattogram highway, about 29 km from Dhaka.
- Mosque of Baba Adam: The elegant 6-domed mosque (43'x36') of Baba Adam located in Rampal near Dhaka.
- National Martyrs Memorial: The beautiful National Martyrs Memorial is situated in Nabinagar, Savar approximately 35 km from Dhaka.
- Bhawal National Park: The Bhawal National Park is located in Gazipur district near Dhaka, it is 45 km far from the capital city.
- Tungipara Bangabandhu Mausoleum Complex: The graveyard of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which is 144 km far from Dhaka in Tungipara, Gopalganj.
- Jamuna Bridge: Jamuna Bridge which is 4.8 km long, 110 km from Dhaka city on the River Jamuna. This bridge is main gateway between North Bengal and Dhaka.
- Modhupur Picnic Spot: Modhupur picnic spot is as forest park, 155 km from Dhaka Division headquarter. It has a great historical importance located in Tangail district.
- Susang Durgapur: Susang Durgapur is a real natural beauty of forest river & hills area where the Garos and other tribal live, about 182 km from Dhaka.
